Want attendees to get into your event in the mobile app? Send them an Attendee App Magic Link. It opens your event in the Attendee Connect app, where attendees can explore your schedule, add sessions to My Schedule, see who is speaking and check out the Exhibitors. If they do not have the app yet, they are prompted to download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play. This link is most common for in-person events, but it works for any event type. If you would rather attendees skip the download, send the Web Browser Magic Link instead.
Before getting started, make sure you have turned on the proper Event Settings to ensure your attendees are able to access your event through their Magic Link.
❗ Important: If Attendee App Access is not turned on, attendees will get into the app but will not see your event.
Attendee App Magic Links
Once Attendee App Access is turned ON, you can get Magic Links to your attendees a few different ways.
💡 Tip: The globe next to Attendee App Access (Event Settings ➡️ General) shows whether access is on, scheduled or off:
Red = Access Off
Yellow = Access Scheduled
Teal = Access On
Attendee App Magic Links in Registration Confirmation Emails
If you are using Expo Pass for Registration, you can include Attendee App Magic Links in the confirmation email.
💡 Note: Anyone that registers AFTER the date and time you selected will receive an Attendee App Magic Link in their Registration Confirmation email.
Anyone that registered BEFORE this was enabled will need to receive an Attendee App Magic Link through the Event Reminder Email or have one manually sent.
1. Login to Expo Pass and choose your event
2. On the left nav bar, click on Event Settings.
3. On the General tab, make sure Attendee App Access is toggled ON.
👉 The date and time you choose to turn ON Attendee App Access must be BEFORE the date and time your Magic Links go out.
4. Click on the Emails tab at the top
5. Toggle Confirmation Emails Enabled to ON
6. Toggle Include Attendee App Magic Link to ON and select your future date and time.
7. Click Save
Attendee App Magic Links in the Event Reminder Email
The Event Reminder is how each attendee that is in Expo Pass will receive their unique Magic Links via email from support@exposent.com at a scheduled date and time.
1. Login to Expo Pass and choose your event
2. On the left nav bar, click on Event Settings
3. On the General tab, make sure Attendee App Access is toggled ON.
👉 The date and time you choose to turn ON Attendee App Access must be BEFORE the date and time your Magic Links go out.
4. Click on the Emails tab at the top
5. Toggle Event Reminder Email to ON and select your future date and time.
6. Toggle Include Attendee App Magic Link to ON
7. Click Save
Manually Send Attendee App Magic Links
Lastly, you can always send out an Attendee App Magic Link manually via the Attendee Data table, up to 20 at a time.
