Expo Pass has a feature to allow your attendees to scan themselves into a Session through a custom Sesion QR code.
Enable Attendee Session Self-Scanning
There are 2 steps needed to complete to enable Attendee Session Self-Scanning:
Event Settings ➜ Enable Attendee Session Self Scanning ➜ ON
Sessions ➜ Manage Attendee Self-Scan ➜ Toggle ON at the top of the page
Enable Attendee Session Self-Scanning Per Session
Once you have enabled the self-scanning feature, you can then decide which sessions you would like to enable this feature for. Once you enable them, you can then create and download your QR code to print and use at your event.
Click on Sessions ➜ Manage Attendee Self-Scan
Ensure that it is toggled ON at the top of the page
Check the box next to the Session(s) you wish to enable and create a QR code for
Click on Enable Sessions at the top of the page.
NOTE: You can see the status of each Session on the right side of the data table
Once you have Enabled the selected Sessions, click Download at the top right of the page.
Manage the format of the QR codes for each of the sessions:
Select the session on the left side of the module
Select if you want just the QR Code, QR Code + Session Title (default), or QR Code + Session Title + Date
Once you have formatted each session, you can download the QR codes as images or as PDFs.
Print out and use onsite for attendees to scan themselves into the session.
Attendee Session Self-Scanning | How-To
Attendees can scan themselves into Sessions for tracking purposes via the Expo Pass Mobile App.
NOTE: Attendees must add the session to their "My Schedule" to be presented with the option in the mobile app to self-scan.
Click into the Event ➜ Hamburger Menu ➜ Sessions ➜ Select the Session ➜ Select Scan at the top of the session
❗ Important: At this point, Attendees MUST scan themselves in and out of the session in the mobile app. If they scan the QR code on their phone camera, the data for the checking in or out WILL NOT be recorded.
