This article is for Event Organizers

Decked out name-tags aren’t the only pro of providing labels and badges for events. With integrated QR codes, attendee badges help your exhibitors qualify and track leads while your attendees network with ease.

Design Your Avery Badge/ Label Template

1. Log in with your credentials into the Expo Pass and choose the appropriate event.

2. Click on the “Attendees” tab in the left-hand menu.

3. Click on the Data Fields button, click Select All - Apply

4. Select 5-10 attendees as a sample population by checking the box next to their name.

5. click the "Actions" drop-down and then “Create Badges” option.

  • This will bring you to the Avery website.option on the top bar of your dashboard. By only selecting a few attendees, you can quickly create a template that we will go back and use later for a larger badge/label print list.

6. Select your badge/label size and either the single or double-sided option.

  • The system will automatically populate the Avery 5392 (3" x 4"), but you do have the option to choose other badge and label types from the left-hand side of the screen.

6. Select your design, or start from scratch with a blank design.

7. Drag the desired fields you would like on your badges/labels:

Important: If you plan to have a QR Code on your badge, please DO NOT pull in the "Qr Code Raw" field. The actual QR Code will automatically be pulled in to your badge design and if you don't need it, you can delete it.

8. From here, you can edit the size, effects, add images such as a logo, and customize your badge/label.

💡 Tip: If you intend to use the QR Code on your badges, we recommend making your QR code the size of at least 4 x 4 (small squares) to ensure ease of scanning and function.

9. Once your badge is designed, click the green “Save” button in the upper right-hand corner and save the template to your computer (do not save to My Avery): "Download Avery Project File". The file should appear on the bottom of your screen where you can drag and drop it to your desktop.

👉 NOTE: You can preview what your badges will look like before saving by clicking on the green “Preview & Print” button in the lower right-hand corner on the Avery website.

10. Head back to your Expo Pass Dashboard.

Upload the Avery Template to Expo Pass

Once you have downloaded your template file from avery in Avery Project File format, it's time to upload it into your event in Expo Pass.

1. On the left-hand menu, select “Avery Templates” under the “Details” Section.

2 Click on “Choose File” and upload the Avery template you just created (this should have been saved as a .avery document to your desktop)

3. All future templates that you create and upload to Expo Pass will be saved in the “Your Uploaded Avery Templates” section.
