Manage and pass along the registration credit card processing fee to your attendees.

When using Expo Pass for registration, there is a 4.95% credit card processing fee through Stripe. Some event organizers prefer that each attendee registering through Expo Pass pay for that on their own.

If this an option you would like to enable, we've got your covered!

❗ Important: Please make sure to review how compounded fees work to ensure there is a full understanding of the amount received in your payout.

**This is standard for all credit card processing companies.


Manage Your Registration Fees

To preview your Expo Pass registration fees and manage passing them along, follow the steps below:

❗ Note: You must complete your registration form before you are able to manage the registration fees.

1. Login to Expo Pass and access your event.

2. In the top left corner, click on the Admin Menu.

3. Click on Registration Fees.

4. From here you will be able to view all of your registration levels and edit them from here.

  • Registration Level: These are the registration levels you have created

  • Subtotal: This is the standard registration level cost without any add-ons or early bird pricing (if applicable).

  • Passed on Fee: This is the amount that the attendee will pay in addition to the registration fee

  • Attendee Total: This is the Subtotal PLUS Passed on Fee to give the total amount an attendee will pay at checkout.

    • This does not include add-on sessions or discounted pricing

  • Processing Fee (4.95%): This is the cost of the processing fee for each registration level

  • Client Payout: This is the Attendee Total MINUS the processing fee and the total amount that you will receive in your payout.

5. To edit your fees, click the blue Edit Fees button. To go back, click on Back to Settings.

6. The Processing Fee Percentage cannot be changed as this is a set rate.

7. Click on the Levels to Pass Fee to Attendee and select all registration levels you would like to pass on to.

  • You will see the Passed on Fee populate in the table to the left as your select the levels.

8. Click DONE and then click SAVE.

❗ Important: If you add registration levels after passing on fees, you will have to come back and apply the changes to the new levels.

9. To remove any passed on fees, click on Edit Fees.

10. Click on Levels to Pass Fee to Attendee.

11. Unselect any levels which you no longer want to pass on fees.

  • You will see the fees set back to $0 in the table to the left.

12. Click DONE and then click SAVE.

13. You can now manage and pull your Registration Transactions Report by following the steps below!
