How to Edit an Attendee ID in Expo Pass

How to change an attendee ID in Expo Pass before their badge has been printed.

This article is for Event Organizers

Each attendee in Expo Pass is automatically assigned a unique Attendee ID when they're added to your event. These IDs are especially important if you're using Expo Pass QR codes for lead retrieval, but they're issued to all attendees by default.

Good news: you can edit an Attendee ID, as long as the badge hasn't been printed yet.

Important: Once a badge has been printed the Attendee ID may not be changed.

Where You Can View Attendee IDs

You can find the Attendee ID in two places:

  • Attendee Data Table ➔ Shows a full list of your attendees, including their IDs.

  • Individual Attendee Record ➔ Click Edit by an attendee's name and scroll down to the Attendee ID field.

Steps to Edit an Attendee ID

  1. Log into your event in Expo Pass.

  2. Click Attendees and find the attendee you want to edit.

  3. Click the Attendee ID field to edit it in-line, or click the edit option on the right side of the table.

  4. Enter the new ID you want to assign.

    • It must be unique (no duplicates allowed across attendees).

    • Only possible if the badge has not yet been printed.

  5. Click Save to confirm the update.

✅ Done! The attendee's ID is now updated.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Trying to edit after badge printing: Once a badge is printed, the Attendee ID is locked and cannot be changed.

  • Assigning a duplicate ID: Every Attendee ID must be unique. Using an ID already assigned to another attendee will cause errors.

  • Forgetting to click Save: If you navigate away without saving, your changes won't be applied.
