Already created your event in Expo Pass but need to change the event dates?
No worries — you do not need to start from scratch. Follow these steps to quickly and easily update your event dates without losing your existing sessions!ple update.
❗ Important: If your event already has sessions scheduled, follow the steps in order to avoid any issues.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Changing the Begin Date First:
If you update the Begin Date before adjusting your sessions, it can cause session data issues or misalignments.Forgetting to Update Session Dates:
After updating event dates, don't forget to individually update each session's date and time.Skipping the Save Step:
Always make sure you click "Save" after making changes — otherwise, your updates won't apply.Uploading New Dates Without Double-Checking:
After updating, review your event calendar to make sure everything appears correctly on the attendee side (Mobile App and Web).
Steps to Update Your Event Dates
1. Edit the End Date First
Login to Expo Pass2. Update Your Sessions
Next, update your session details:
Go to the Sessions tab.
Edit each session individually to update the:
Date
Time
Location (if necessary) and choose your event.
Click on the Event section in the left nav bar, and click on the pencil to edit (✏️ pencil).
ONLY CHANGE the END DATE to the new event end date. ❌ Do not change the Begin Date yet!
Click SAVE.
2. Update Your Sessions
Next, update your session details:
Go to the Sessions tab.
Edit each session individually to update the:
Date
Time
Location (if necessary)
3. Update the Begin Date
After you've updated all your sessions:
Go back to the Details section.
Click the Edit icon again.
Now you can update the BEGIN DATE to match your new event start date.
Click SAVE.
And That's It!
Once you complete all three steps:
All of your event’s information will remain intact.
The Expo Pass Mobile App will also automatically reflect your updates.
✅ No need to recreate your sessions or event structure!
